EPA SPOTLIGHT: MEET KAREN!

Karen is our Product Specialist who works with the back office operations. Although Karen has worn many hats since she joined Electra Products in 2016, she currently works with the warehouse and shipping processes to ensure products get where they need to go at the correct time.

When asked what she likes most about working at Electra Products Karen replied, “It’s fast-paced and keeps me busy all day long. I enjoy the customer service aspect, talking with customers about different lines and resolving any issues and questions. I also like working with my Electra Products team, it’s a great team.”

What is the best vacation you ever had? My best vacation spot is Las Vegas because I like to play slots. It’s fun and relaxing and keeps my mind off everything else. Once I had a really lucky day: I won over $1,000 a couple times and then my husband hit for about $500! Also, one time the Indiana Grand Victoria/Rising Sun sent me a coupon in the mail. It wouldn’t work in the slots, and when I brought it to the cage, they said I won $5,000!

If you could try another job, what would you do? I would like to work at a shelter or the Humane Society. They call me the Cat Lady. Cats just come to me, and I find a home for it or just keep it.  I’ve probably rescued over 100 animals total. I’m a softie, I guess!

If you had one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be? Reese’s Cup Ice Cream.

What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten? At a New Year’s Eve party my sister served us beef tongue. It was the weirdest and most disgusting thing I ever ate.

What sports do you like? I love volleyball but I like all sports. I prefer to play rather than watch. We should have an electrical industry softball team!

What would surprise people if they knew this about you? I auditioned for Deal or No Deal. I stood in line for 10 hours to audition but I didn’t get picked.

Name an item on your bucket list. I have finished over 15 half marathons, most in Indianapolis. I usually run with my sisters and brother-in-law. I’d like to run a full marathon. I thought I would have done it by now but it’s never too late!
