Joel Van Treese
Joel has 38 years of industry experience – 33 of those years were in the distribution business and he held titles from Truck Driver to Vice President-General Manager and Board Member with both large local and National distributors. He has served on several advisory councils for large manufacturers and has mentored many during his career. Enjoys assisting distributors and end customers in their success. Fun Facts: Enjoys music (runs a 16-piece swing band in his spare time), photography and grandkids (5). Has followed in his father’s footsteps as the family historian. In a prior life was “on-air” talent in radio (has a face for radio), was a disc jockey in the 70’s and “ran the board” for Mike Fornes (WIBC) Indianapolis Racer games (Major League Hockey team in the WHA) (notable players-Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier).

Mike has worked in the electrical industry for over 35 years. He worked for a large electrical distributor in various parts of the country before moving back home to Indiana and starting with a Rep Agency. Having worked in distribution helps him understand all aspects that a distributor encounters. Mike lives on the south side of Indy with his wife Sueann, he has 3 Children, 2 Step Children and 4 Granddaughters. Fun Fact: Mike is a big racing fan; his dad worked at was then Raceway Park and they spent most weekends and summers at the track.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Steve graduated from Butler University in 1979. He started in the Electrical business the day after graduation, from Butler, as a Manufacturers Representative. Steve and his Wife Jacquie share 4 Children, ranging in age from 27 down to 20. Two are game-fully employed and two are still in College. After a tragic delivery truck accident, he enjoyed 5 years as a Regional Sales Manager with Minerallac Cully, before joining The Electra Products Agency in June of 2006. Fun Fact: Sang Ava Maria to a full auditorium.

Matt graduated from Ball State in 2005 and started with Gexpro in 2007 working on various National Accounts. Matt joined the Electra Products team in the Spring of 2014. Lives in Indianapolis with his wife and dog. Matt is also a die hard Michigan Wolverine fan. Fun Fact: Matt lived in Australia for six months while attending college.

Tim is an Indianapolis native that attended Marian University. He and his wife of 20 years, Amy, have two kids and live on the south side. Tim brings a broad knowledge base to the EPA Team to help us create demand by making our End Customer aware of Products that are Safer, Energy Saving or having a Lower Installed Cost. 13 Years Contractor sales with a National Distributor. 2 Years as National Sales Manager for HVAC Company.

Started with EPA in 1982 as an End User Specialist. Liked this business a lot and bought the company in 1985. Thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the business: Marketing, Strategy, Selling, Camaraderie, Friendship. Married 42 blissful years (Terri – did you read this?). 2 grown kids – 2 grand kids. Enjoys eating Terri’s excellent cooking, taking wine and cheese cruises with friends on our pontoon boat. (our pontoon motto is "You may Out-Run us, but you can't Out-Fun us!"). Merrill has worked in the electrical/lighting industry for 23 years. He received his B.S. from Ball State University, and Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He worked for Kirby Risk after graduation. He went on to specialize in lighting for several years, working for both Philips and GE Lighting. He also worked in the medical industry a number of years selling diagnostic imaging service agreements for GE Healthcare. Now, he is back to his first joy, the electrical and lighting industry. Merrill’s strengths are his hard work ethic and having a strong moral compass. Merrill enjoys time with his wife, Amy, and their two beagles. Fun fact: Merrill enjoys working out at the gym and has been featured on their Facebook page twice.
Inside Sales & Merchandising Specialist
Eric first interned with EPA in 2015 while attending Indiana University. After graduating from IU in 2017, Eric worked in sales for a local beverage distributor with a focus on merchandising. Eric re-joined the EPA team in 2018 and has quickly become a valuable asset. He resides on Indy’s south side and enjoys cycling, playing guitar, and firing up the grill. Fun Fact: Took Fencing and History of Rock and Roll as elective classes in college.
Line Champion: CME Wire and Cable, Crouse-Hinds, Eaton Wiring Devices, Picoma, Prime Conduit, Western Tube. Chris begin his career in the Electrical Industry in 2005 and has been with EPA since 2013. Chris brings commodity experience from both the rep and distributor sides of the industry. Chris grew up in and around the construction industry and has gained a wide range of knowledge over the years that helps the team daily throughout the building processes. Besides the 4 years Chris spent living out of state, in Washington and Kentucky, he is a lifelong resident of the southside. Chris and his family currently reside in Greenwood. Chris is an avid outdoorsman, and he also dabbles in wood working. Fun Fact: Chris is quick with a pun and enjoys living life to a soundtrack by connecting just about everything to song titles.
Line Champion - Anamet, Bussmann, Ericson, Fluke, Greenlee, MGM After graduating from a local business college, Mindy began her career with a national electrical distributor. After a long tenure and holding various positions Mindy decided to give the rep side a try and started with EPA in 2015. Fun Fact: At Age 5, she cut the power to an escalator in El Corte Ingles, a busy department store in Barcelona, Spain. Mom and Dad were not amused.

Line Champion: Aitken, B-Line Terri Sickels joined Electra Products Agency in 1999 with extensive experience as a buyer for the postal service and manager of a jewelry factory. My current duties include office manager, customer service and quotes. In my time off, I like to play with the grandchildren, cook and cruise the lake on our pontoon boat (party in slow motion) Fun Fact: My eyes change from brown, to green to grey depending on what I am wearing and what mood I am in. I like taking pictures of sunsets.

I have a twin sister who is also in the Electrical business. During my time off, I love spending time with my family and friends. Fun Fact: I enjoy running, bike riding and playing volleyball.
